"As an instructor, I try to recognize each person's individual way of expression. I have those who come to study with me
and their goal is to paint just like me, which is not really practical. I attempt to help students to understand
the beauty of what comes naturally from them. That way, they can build on their own style of expression."

"I don't want to discount talent and ability, but I still maintain that a lot of it is just sheer desire."
~ Don Henle
"After attending Sandy's “Zoom” virtual art classes, I can attest that it truly is as close to an in-person class as you can get. It takes a lot of work and planning on the teacher's part, however, when it’s well done, it’s a wonderful way to learn! Videos for each class are offered to view and study before and after the Zoom class. I recommend attending this course as a teacher and as a student. Whenever I am able to teach another class here in my little area, I know I will be much better prepared." ~ Maxine

I'm not offering the live Zoom class recordings at this time. Instead, I offer comprehensive,
prerecorded videos using the same techniques as the live demo for each lesson.
Please Note:
My videos are high quality, concise and an extremely beneficial learning tool.
It is best to create from the videos where you can pause,
slow down the speed, rewind, etc. It is very hard (if not impossible) to try to paint and see what
I am doing at the same time. When I have a live class, I demo a certain part, while everyone watches,
then walk around and help people as they paint. Then I demo another part and my students watch.
I feel it's almost impossible to see what I'm doing and paint at the same time.
I suggest it would be much better to take notes, ask questions, watch and pay close attention to what
I'm doing during the live Zoom demonstration. Then you can try your hand at painting the live lesson
immediately following the Zoom session. It will be much more helpful for you to paint along with and study
from the videos and downloads which accompany each weekly lesson. I am always available
and eager to answer any questions and give guidance or feedback.
